ECT-752 (EV Charging Cable Tester)

The ECT-752 is a standalone solution for testing Mode 3 and Mode 2 EV
Charging Cables. The tester offers complete functionality for safety and
functional verification of the EV Charging Cables in compliance with EN
50678 and EN 50699 standards, without the need for an external instrument
like an Installation or PAT tester. It’s user friendly design and user
interface allows full verification of the cable with a single click of a
button. User can create customized autotest sequences or Test Plans,
transfer and share data or generate a report using a MiControl
application.

  • Customizable Test Plans generated on the MIControl application and
    transferred to the device.
  • Touch probe for making ITOUCH, RPE and RINS measurements on Class I
    devices such as Juice Boosters.
  • Evaluation of test results based on standard or customizable limits.
  • Bluetooth or USB C connection for data export/import and report
    generation using MiControl application.

ECT-752 firmware and MiControl software.

v2.0.2.2 – 03-10-2025
    • Added on-screen keyboard so users can enter custom names and
      codes (Projects, Clients, Cables, etc.).
    • Cable measurements are now locked after testing to protect
      results. Users can still unlock and edit them if needed.
    • RCD measurement options expanded: now supports 10 mA, 20 mA,
      and 30 mA (previously only 30 mA).
    • Added delay support for (Apriv) Škoda IV, Audi e-tron, and
      Porsche IC-CPD. These devices now power on in state A, even if
      they stopped due to an error.
    • New warning shown if no Test Plans are available.
    • Improved RTC accuracy.
    • Added option to edit cables in the Master Test List.
    • Corrected some German translations.
    • On first boot, a language selection menu now appears.
    • Added option to run Auto Measurement from a selected step.
    • Bluetooth version check: warning is shown if outdated.
    • Diode error now times out after 20 seconds if no user action
      is taken.
    • VIN and Vehicle Type Plate fields added to Cable information.

    • EVSE Compatibility: Fixed communication and state issues specifically for Audi, VW, Opel, and BMW Flexible Fast Charger cables.
    • False Warnings: Adjusted detection voltage after RCD measurements to prevent false warnings caused by ghost voltage.
    • Logic Fixes: Corrected “FAIL” triggers for Control Pilot (CP) during Diode error, Error D, and specific State C scenarios.
    • Timeouts: Resolved intermittent communication timeouts during RCDA testing in AUTO Mode 2.
    • General: Fixed various translation errors across all supported languages and resolved an issue where data could get “stuck” when switching between testplans.
